The Myanmar Photo Archive (www.myanmarphotoarchive.com) is a physical archive of photographic materials from Myanmar from 1890 to the present decade, collected by Lukas Birk (Photographer, Conservator, Publisher).
Thousands of old photographs tell us the small stories of Myanmar history, not from historic facts nor the government fact, but visually narrated by local people. The stories that can reflect so much on how they lived in certain time, in certain way.
Join us in conversation with Lukas Birk as he will share how photography play a role in the society, and how this medium is used in general purpose.
Hosted by Ng Swan Ti (PannaFoto Institute), the discussion will be conducted in Indonesian with English translation.
